What you'll do in the role:Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia to develop and implement robust solutions using latest platform features. Transform business requirements into scalable, efficient applications across multiple clouds. Contribute to technical strategy and application architecture decisions to maximize platform capabilities. Optimize existing systems to improve performance, maintainability, and user experience. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and organization's coding standards. Design and develop custom solutions with a focus on reusability and maintainability. Create and maintain integrations between systems using APIs and platform events. Implement automation to streamline complex business processes. Conduct peer code reviews and provides technical guidance to junior developers to maintain high-quality standards. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implements scalable solutions across production and sandbox environments. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
What you'll bring to the role:-Requires a Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Software Developer, or a related technical occupation.
-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
- Salesforce data modeling, security controls, and sharing architecture;
- Version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows using SFDX;
- Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization techniques;
- Salesforce data integration and analytics, including:
- DevOps practices, including:
- CI/CD,
- automated testing, and
- release management;
- Implementing advanced security features, including:
- Shield Platform Encryption;
- Apex programming, including:
- triggers,
- batch and queueable jobs, and
- asynchronous processing;
- SOQL and SOSL for complex data retrieval, aggregation, and search operations;
- Salesforce REST and SOAP API integration with external enterprise systems;
- Lightning Web Components (LWC) development and Lightning component architecture;
- Apex unit testing, test data factories, and maintaining code coverage standards; and
- Platform Events and Change Data Capture for event-driven architecture and real-time data synchronization.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $158,000 and $158,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
