All About the Role:

The Director, Single Family Direct Sales is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, profitability, and execution of the National Single Family Direct business segment. This role drives revenue growth through the development of national builder relationships, expansion of market share, and execution of strategic sales initiatives. The Director partners cross-functionally to align sales, marketing, product, supply chain, and financial objectives while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to develop high-performing teams and drive results in a dynamic market environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the overall performance, growth, profitability, and market share expansion of the National Single Family Direct business segment.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new national and regional builder accounts while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Own executive-level relationships with national builders and serve as the primary escalation point for key customer opportunities and issues.
  • Lead the RFP process, new account onboarding, division rollouts, and ongoing account management activities across the segment.
  • Manage forecasting, business planning, SG&A spending, and performance reporting to ensure achievement of revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Coach and develop National Account Managers while providing leadership to teams supporting national and regional builder accounts.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, FP&A, BI, and other cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives and respond to market needs and trends.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, builder meetings, and conferences while maintaining account playbooks, business plans, and customer engagement strategies.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience, with demonstrated success managing key customer relationships and driving profitable growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the Single Family construction market, national builder channels, and industry landscape.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives, sales forecasting, and strategic business planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a remote or geographically dispersed environment.
