Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Finance Director SC Systems, located in Raynham, Massachusetts.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Finance Director, SC Systems provides strategic leadership for Finance and Tax system enablement across the DePuy Synthes supply chain. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leaders across Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Digital, and Technology to deliver robust, future-ready system solutions-particularly critical as DePuy Synthes transitions to a standalone organization. This role has enterprise-level impact and visibility, influencing how supply chain Finance and Tax processes are executed globally.

Key Responsibilities

DS S4 Deployment
  • Responsible for the Finance and Tax Global Template design across Supply Chain ERP landscape.
  • Manage cross-program process design interdependencies, conflicts, and challenges with respective stakeholders.
  • Drive establishment and implementation of process design methodology, including relevant templates, tools and controls.
  • Define deployment strategy, methods, playbook, and tools across each regional release deployment in partnership with Program team.
  • Accountable for all elements of deployment for Finance function including Testing, Business Adoption, Training, Data Migration, Hypercare
  • Support timely TSA exits for ERPs through deployment discipline and schedule attainment.


Supply Chain Finance Systems Ecosystem
  • Business owner for Supply Chain Finance systems including AGP / PII tool.
  • Assess path forward from Day 1 for SC Finance systems ecosystem in partnership with technology teams.
  • Execute improvements and TSA exit's per agreed prioritization.
  • Build knowledge of systems in advance of Day 1 to ensure continuity and robust Day 2 roadmap.


General
  • Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and compliance through effective system controls and documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system-enabled processes and reduce operational risk.
  • Manage and develop a team of managers and senior professionals, fostering strong performance, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on system-related supply chain tax matters, including interactions with auditors and external advisors.

  • Master's degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience and Skills

Required:
  • Typically requires 10-12 years of progressive experience in finance, tax, supply chain systems or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in complex, enterprise-scale system transformations.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a matrixed and global organization.
  • Experience managing leaders and senior professionals including performance management and talent development.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred:
  • Experience in a medical device, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms, preferably SAP
  • Experience supporting business separations, carve-outs, or large-scale operating model changes.
  • Experience driving digital finance transformation initiatives.
Other
  • Language: English required.
  • Travel: Up to 15-20% domestic and international travel, as business needs require.
  • Certifications: CPA, PMP, or systems-related certifications preferred but not required.
