Job Description:

L3 Harris Technologies is seeking a Director, Scheduling/Material Planning/Logistics located in Camden, AR. This person will lead a team of Logistics, Scheduling and Material Management professionals. This leader will lead a team responsible for demand/material planning, production scheduling, logistics and production scheduling.

Essential Functions:

Manages experienced professionals or team(s) led by lower level supervisors or managers. Often leads one or more teams or a department. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for team or department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results. Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with management review and approval. Reports to the Site Lead.

Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

o Production Scheduling: Ensures Master Production Scheduling demand is properly loaded & actively maintained in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Detailed scheduling context and analysis to production and support areas; Assists in development of scheduling "catch back / recovery" options

O Demand/Material Planning: Inventory monitoring of on-hand supply, in-bound material, and in-house WIP vs. ERP demand
• Timely issuance of material in alignment with program requirements and shop floor capacity
• Controls Inventory Management, Material Issue, Material Cost Transfers
• Release of direct material purchase requisitions

O Production Control - Monitor work order progress & constraints to keep hardware flowing per schedule demands
• Coordination of tactical level tasks and issue resolution that may cross-cut multiple COE's
• Coordinates the timely ordering / readiness of production support items such as tooling, fixtures, NC programming, to facilitate on-time starts
• Conduct resource load analysis & provide resource dispatch
• Coordinates final shipping requirements to ensure proper material control

o Oversees Logistics / Material Management
• Execute Receipts, Kitting to support timely work order release / factory starts
• Material handling, material movement, & ERP system Move Orders
• Process Shipping transactions; coordinate material shipments
• Cycle Counts, physical inventories, to include material reconciliation
• Validate flow of material to the floor, control inventory

o Manages Site Organizational overhead budgets

o Ensure compliance to DFARS and MMAS business systems

o Domestic travel required, up to 20%

o Ability to obtain a US secret security clearance

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related Scheduling/ Planning and Logistics experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Master's Degree considered a plus
• Inventory/Material Management certifications (e.g. APICS) considered a plus
