Summary:The Director, Procurement/Sourcing/Value Analysis is responsible for the oversight of the purchasing, sourcing and the value analysis process of Supply Chain. This individual ensures departmental operations and procedures for procurement of supplies, and equipment is consistent throughout the system and comply with the Broward Health Procurement Code. The incumbent will also ensure that these areas of Supply Chain align with District strategic plans, policies, procedures and governmental regulations as promulgated and approved by the VP/CPO of Supply Chain. The successful candidate should be able to work effectively with clinical, operational, finance, legal, supply chain, and compliance stakeholders to ensure that Value Analysis decisions are translated into procurement activities that are transparent, properly documented, compliant, and aligned with applicable statutory and organizational requirements.
Procurement experience within a public hospital, special taxing district hospital, public health system, or other governmental healthcare organization in these environments is particularly valuable because the position requires an understanding of the procurement requirements applicable to public-sector healthcare organizations, including adherence to the organization's procurement code, applicable Florida Statutes, competitive procurement requirements, contracting procedures, documentation requirements, and applicable policies and controls.Education:- Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:- Seven (7) years of related healthcare procurement, sourcing, and value analysis experience required.
- Procurement experience within a public hospital, special taxing district hospital, public health system or other governmental healthcare organization strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Experience navigating public-sector procurement requirements will be considered a preferred qualification, particularly for candidates who have worked in public or special taxing district healthcare environment.
