Job DescriptionAs a Director - Process Management, you will direct program management and business partnership activities for CORE BUSINESS technology initiatives. You will serve as a trusted liaison between core business stakeholders and IT, guiding mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, WAB walkthroughs, digital product adoption, and technology requests from initial engagement through delivery and transition. You will ensures stakeholders understand IT processes, governance requirements, responsibilities, risks, and next steps while driving cross-functional alignment, structured execution, problem resolution, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Manage the core business portfolio of technology programs and strategic business initiatives, establishing priorities, dependencies, risks, and success measures in partnership with business and IT leadership
- Serve as an advisor to core business leaders on technology-related initiatives, helping them understand IT processes, governance requirements, intake procedures, prioritization processes, and delivery expectations
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate opportunities, concerns, and operational needs into actionable technology requests and aligned business outcomes
- Coordinate activities across business teams, IT organizations, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful execution of programs and initiatives
- Provide program management support for M&A activities impacting core business, coordinating business readiness, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, issue management, and integration activities
- Drive resolution of complex cross-functional issues by identifying root causes, evaluating alternatives, facilitating stakeholder alignment, removing barriers, and escalating risks when necessary
- Support IT Digital WAB processes, ensuring business requirements, decisions, impacts, risks, ownership, and follow-up actions are clearly documented and understood by all stakeholders
- Provide hands-on guidance and organizational change support for Digital Products, helping business teams understand capabilities, adoption expectations, business value, and operational impacts
- Provide concise and actionable status updates to senior leadership regarding program progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and business impacts
- Promote continuous improvement, accountability, business engagement, and repeatable operating practices across the core business technology portfolio
- Monitors the project/program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with both internal and external customers and cross-functional teams, including product and project leaders
- Define Risk Registers for all projects/programs and respond proactively to escalate issues that may impede customer satisfaction, project delivery and coordinates solutions
- Routinely reports program status to executive team and functional leadership
Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Masters Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field preferred
- 10 years' experience in IT program management, portfolio management, business engagement, process management, digital transformation, or technology enabled business operations
- 10 years' experience in IT program management, portfolio management, business engagement, process management, digital transformation, or technology enabled business operations
- 3 years' experience leading complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios in a matrixed organization
- 3 years' experience partnering directly with senior business and IT leadership on strategy, governance, risk management and execution
- Strong Program and Portfolio Management capabilities including planning, governance, prioritization, risk management, dependency management, and execution oversight
- Exceptional business problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to structure ambiguity and drive practical solutions
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong business partnership and relationship management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling alignment with partners and ability to navigate conflict constructively
- Strong communication and presentation skills at leadership levels and ability to translate IT processes and technology concepts into business-friendly language
- Solutions-oriented strategic thinker who can easily identify high-priority, high-impact activities
- Experience coordinating large teams working within a matrixed based organization on complex efforts with many inter-dependencies
- Navigate uncertainty with agility and maintains appropriate forward momentum with strong core team engagement
- Experience in LEAN/Six Sigma practices
- Ability to travel 0-25%
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
