Job Summary
The Director, Portfolio Deployment is responsible for leading the execution of one or more of IONNA's largest strategic deployment portfolios by coordinating the activities of Design, Site Development, Utility Coordination, Construction, and other cross-functional teams. This role serves as the primary deployment lead for assigned partner portfolios, ensuring projects advance efficiently and on budget from design through permitting, utility energization, construction, and turnover to Site Operations.
Working across multiple internal teams and external partners, the Director proactively identifies risks, aligns priorities, removes execution roadblocks, and drives predictable portfolio delivery. Success in this role requires exceptional program management, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to keep large, multi-site deployment programs progressing on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership
- Own deployment execution for one or more strategic national partner portfolios.
- Develop and maintain integrated deployment plans across design, permitting, utility coordination, and construction.
- Ensure deployment milestones are achieved while balancing schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
- Identify portfolio-level risks and coordinate mitigation plans across multiple functional teams.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate the activities of Design, Site Development, Utility Coordination, Construction, Procurement, and Operations to maintain portfolio momentum.
- Lead recurring deployment meetings that align priorities, resolve constraints, and drive accountability across functional groups.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for issues impacting deployment schedules.
- Ensure seamless transitions between project phases from design through construction completion.
Partner Management
- Communicate deployment schedules, milestones, risks, and recovery plans to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate partner-specific deployment requirements across all execution teams.
- Build strong relationships that promote transparency, trust, and successful long-term partnerships.
Program Execution
- Monitor portfolio performance using deployment metrics and dashboards.
- Drive timely resolution of permitting, utility, engineering, and construction challenges.
- Coordinate recovery plans for delayed or at-risk projects.
- Champion continuous improvements that increase deployment speed, consistency, and predictability.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial development, infrastructure deployment, construction management, program management, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success leading large, multi-site deployment programs involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of commercial design, permitting, utility coordination, and construction processes.
- Exceptional program management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with enterprise customers or managing large strategic portfolios is strongly preferred.
