Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Director of Pharmacy Services for the Transplant & Cellular Therapy (TCT) Network assists with coordinating pharmacy services for TCT Network Programs. Responsibilities include but not limited to pathway/protocol/order set development and coordination among pharmacy leaders at each program. The TCT Director of Pharmacy Services will work with Network Leaders and attend (virtually or in person) Network related meetings/discussions to optimize care and help with program growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Attends TCT Network meetings and works with leaders to develop strategies/optimize pharmacy services
  • Provides pharmacy review for pathways, protocols, order sets, and pharmacoeconomics for the Network
  • Coordinates with and supports pharmacy leaders at all TCT Network programs
  • Participates in the quality improvement activities related to oncology pharmacy services
  • Establishes productive, collaborative relationships with Network leaders and members and with the DoPs of facilities with TCT programs
  • Develop a repository of pharmacy support resources that can be accessed by the Network programs
  • Develops and supports standardized Network onboarding for new TCT Clinical Pharmacists
  • Identify education needs and coordinate education resources for the Network pharmacy teams
  • Supports professional growth for Network TCT Clinical Pharmacists
  • Identify best practices and support implementation across Network programs
  • Propose strategies for recruitment and retention of Network pharmacists including development of pharmacy residency programs
  • Supports Expanse development for blood cancer and TCT clinical programs


Requirements:

  • Clinical experience in caring for patients with a blood cancer diagnosis, and patients receiving a HCT and CAR T-cell product for their disease.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Doctorate Degree Required
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state they reside in
  • ASHP accredited PGY2 Oncology residency or equivalent experience required
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification in the applicable practice area (required after 2 years of service)
  • Five years hospital pharmacy experience in an oncology pharmacist position or equivalent experience
