Full Job Description
Position Summary...
The Director, People leads the development and execution of human resources strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring effective organizational change management and compliance with applicable laws and policies. This role directs HR practices, data analysis, and talent management initiatives to support workforce capability and engagement. Collaborating cross-functionally, the Director provides guidance on HR matters, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability. The position requires strong leadership to influence business outcomes while maintaining confidentiality and promoting operational excellence across the organization.

  • Develop and implement human resources strategies aligned with business goals to support organizational growth and change initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance to business leaders on human resources matters, ensuring consistent application of HR practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead data analysis efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local laws, conducting audits and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Drive talent management initiatives including recruitment, development, succession planning, and workforce capability enhancement.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous learning to support associate engagement and business success.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
