Full Job Description
Location: Hybrid, New York

Medidata follows a hybrid office policy in which employees who are hired for an in-person position are expected to work on site a certain number of days per week following Company policy.

About the Team:

This role serves as the key Business partner to the Chief Strategy Officer and the Head of Professional Services and Support. They sit on the Executive committee (XCOM) of Medidata Leadership and their teams are responsible for delivering the strategy for the full portfolio of our products and the successful delivery of our services for the Medidata Brand. This role will oversee a team of HR business partners that support the various leaders that report to these two XCOM members across various senior leadership levels in EMEA, APAC and North America.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the business being served to help address the organization and talent needs.
  • Formulate and execute the Talent plan in alignment with the business priorities to drive results.
  • Partner with senior leadership using strong influencing skills and providing HR guidance and solutions on hiring, organizational change, culture and much more.
  • Proactively review and analyze people metrics to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience
  • Ensure continuous Talent assessment & development
  • Provide leadership coaching
  • Drive capability building - performance management, coaching
  • Partner with COEs for People Service Delivery
  • Lead annual people processes at Sr. Leadership team level
  • Intervene in Employee related investigations where required
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment with ambiguity and change; adapting to and being a champion for positive change
  • Leverages strong business acumen and analytic capability to integrate HR and business strategies
  • Critical thinking and creative problem solving to be able to troubleshoot issues & root causes and apply business focused solutions
  • Effective implementation of change management principles

  • Ability to apply and create "best practice" solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and have a bias for thoughtful action
  • In-depth experience in one or more core HR disciplines (Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, etc.)
  • Skilled at building credibility and effective relationships and is a strong collaborator
  • Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, influencing, negotiating and managing conflict
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Resilient with a high level of personal integrity and energy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Driven, results-oriented professional with a sense of humor
  • 10+ years of HR experience
  • Masters in Human Resources or equivalent
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City / New Jersey. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City / New Jersey, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position for NY/NJ salary range: $135K - $180K.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
