Job Description:

Position Overview

You will serve as the primary day-to-day client contact on a specific piece(s) of business. This role involves deep client vertical knowledge which leads to managing the account, developing and executing innovative Social media plans that address the client's strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for the development of strong Paid Social teams leading the execution of world-class Social programs. The Director encourages teams to think outside the box, work closely with cross-discipline teams, find ways to modernize and test new concepts, and stay abreast of the client industry to provide exceptional work. We're looking for a candidate who has continued enthusiasm towards the medium and the desire to constantly educate oneself on the latest information.

Responsibilities

  • Judge and quantify results of media efforts placed on behalf of our clients (i.e., understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client) and the ability to translate this data into a story


  • Utilize online performance tracking and measurement tools


  • Represent company philosophies and expertise to external parties, including clients and partner agencies


  • Continued enthusiasm towards the medium and the desire to constantly educate oneself on the latest information


  • Drives the social process for client teams and across the craft, ensuring integration across channels and avoiding channel silos.


  • Encourages exploration and a "test and learn" approach to identify new opportunities and improve business outcomes.


  • Applies agency POVs and partnership opportunities to client needs.


  • Assist with new business pitches, including research, paid social recommendations, and potentially presenting to new prospects.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages Associate Directors and Managers and ensures all junior team members stay on track developing skills for their level, receive actionable feedback and support their goals and growth. Identify new opportunities for team members outside of the day-today client work.


  • Manage, develop, and inspire internal social teams; foster an environment that enables action


  • Plays an active role in conflict resolution across teams. Identifies gaps, suggestions solutions and resolves problems before they escalate.


  • Manages workloads distribution, set timelines and ways of working with broader team including troubleshooting and resolving issues.


  • Provides input on staffing plan recommendations, new hires, and promotion opportunities/


  • Keep leadership up to date with team and client updates.


Qualification - Required Skills

  • Very strong experience in developing robust, creative, and innovative paid social / native advertising / content marketing programs - in excess of $1mm annually


  • 2+ years' experience managing a client and 2+ direct reports and providing feedback and performance reviews.


  • Strong understanding of cross channel planning, demonstrating strong coordination of digital and offline media efforts.


  • Proficient in Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Snap, LinkedIn and Pinterest; Mastery of said social platform capabilities across campaign type, platform research tools and understanding of third-party partnerships and capabilities such as shopping platforms, influencer, product feed management, mobile measurement partners, etc.


  • Extensive experience writing and presenting relevant information; Ability to prepare presentations and maintain a level of professionalism suitable for senior client leadership, including executive and C-Suite


  • Understanding of marketing and communications process, and ability to execute streamlined processes across clients, media partners, and other agencies.


  • Understand implications of data and privacy regulations and when to consult with experts across the organization


  • Strong analytics skills, thorough understanding of paid social measurement and experience utilizing multiple native measurement tools.


  • Demonstrated ability to grow junior talent and help develop team skills / careers


  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers


  • Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude

  • Software: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)


  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and oversee a team.


Qualifications - Desired Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in media, social agency, advertising agency, or similar media environment.


  • Extensive experience in digital media planning, including 3+ years management experience


  • Agency experience preferred


  • Knowledge of Asana or other project management platforms a plus


  • Proven ability to collaborate and work well with others in a high-pressure environment


$95/hr

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
