Job Description

Position Summary:

Reports to the Regional Vice President, as assigned. Responsible for assisting the Regional Vice President in the overall operation of contracts/business of the region to ensure contract programmatic and administrative compliance, overall contract performance, quality of service delivery, quality of performance, problem identification and solutions, and positive customer relations.

Essential Functions:
  • At the discretion and in the absence of the Regional Vice President, serve in such capacity for the company.
  • At the discretion of the Regional Vice President, direct and supervise other regional office staff.
  • At the direction of the Regional Vice President, temporarily fill center staff positions, including but not limited to director positions (center, site, finance, deputy, programs, etc.).
  • Direct, conduct, or assist other staff in annual or follow-up contract assessments and audits as required by Job Corps contracts, regulations, and MTC policy.
  • Identify problems and propose solutions to management, as appropriate; ensure implementation and resolution occurs.
  • Provide or coordinate technical assistance to contracts and conduct necessary follow up to ensure implementation of action identified.
  • Assist in supporting the Education and Training Division, by serving on ad hoc departmental committees.
  • Work with others to ensure high contract performance measurement standard outcomes as identified by Job Corps and the company.
  • Review and analyze Job Corps and MTC performance reports; offer recommendations and observations from this analysis to the Regional Vice President and contract management.
  • Ensure centers are tracking and consistently monitoring center performance. Ensure that senior staff teams at centers are utilizing the student projection spreadsheet and process to maximize student achievement and center outcomes.
  • It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in behavior sciences, education, human resources, business or other field. Degree requirement may be waived, but only with approval of the Senior Vice President, Education & Training.
  • Five years' experience in Job Corps or related industry, three of which must be supervisory.
  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
