Director of Warehouse Operations (DWO) to join our dynamic and dedicated team.Working collaboratively as part of a local employee-owned, community-minded company that has an outstanding worldwide reputation, you will be responsible for all fulfilment logistics.

As Director of Warehouse Operations (DWO), you will advocate for the needs of the warehouse team, foster ideas on how to improve systems and efficiencies, decrease shipment errors, maintain and advance departmental procedures and processes to produce a high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop Logistics and Efficiency Plans for Inventory Control, Picking/Packing, heat-mapping, and product bin locations.
  • Forward-thinking toward innovation, automation, and systems to improve logistics
  • Expand upon current KPI's and performance tracking
  • Communicate/manage relationships with freight carriers and shipping material providers to secure lowest costs
  • Develop and enforce best practices in health and safety
  • Demonstrate strong literacy in warehouse and computer technologies.
  • Delegate and oversee team leaders with accountability and trust
  • Process-oriented approach with good judgement and decision-making skills
  • Attract and retain personnel as well as effectively manage turnover
  • Effectively manage personnel concerns and develop strategies to support their needs and efforts
  • Analyze warehouse data to better strategize and forecast for cost and hiring needs
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor warehouse performance
  • Consistently and effectively communicate with Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Leadership, Managers, Team Leaders
  • Work with Human Resources to plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish productivity and quality goals.
  • Work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
