Essential Duties:- Ensure strong, on-going communications with principals and district leaders. •
- Assist with the supervision of all facets of transportation services.
- Ensure the evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation services and assist with the development of a growth and replacement plan for the full fleet.
- Actively participate in the budget process and monitor spending related to transportation.
- Keep abreast of federal and state laws and policies related to transportation and establish procedures to ensure required compliance of these laws and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Ten (10) years of related experience preferred.
- Familiarity with public school operations preferred.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative information in a transportation setting to drive decision-making and evaluation.
- Ability to work well with staff and the public; ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members, agencies, or members of the community.
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. Must be able to be present at the physical worksite.
- Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communication skills are essential factors in performing essential tasks
