Job Description

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of supply chain operations for the North Hollywood facility, including Production Planning, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Management. This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow, accurate planning execution, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader of people who combines deep MRP/ERP expertise with a passion for data, analytics, and operational metrics to drive decision making, improve delivery performance, and enhance overall business efficiency within a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain & Operations Leadership
  • Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies aligned with production schedules, customer requirements, program milestones, and company objectives.
  • Lead and integrate the Planning, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory Control functions to ensure seamless operational execution.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Program Management teams to support build schedules, engineering changes, and customer priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between demand, capacity, labor, inventory, and supplier performance.

Planning, MRP & Inventory Management
  • Lead the effective use and continuous improvement of the company's ERP/MRP systems to support accurate planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Analyze MRP signals, demand trends, shortages, capacity constraints, and inventory levels to proactively identify and resolve issues before impacting production.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful operational metrics and dashboards to improve visibility into material flow, production readiness, inventory health, supplier performance, and schedule attainment.
  • Implement inventory optimization strategies including safety stock, kanban, min/max planning, and just-in-time (JIT) practices where appropriate.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through strong transaction discipline, cycle counting, and process control.
  • Ensure full traceability and configuration control for all materials and components.

Supplier & Procurement Management
  • Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage aerospace-qualified suppliers in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts, and supplier agreements to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including sole-source dependencies, long lead-time materials, and capacity constraints.
  • Logistics & Compliance
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, freight management, shipping compliance, and customs requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, export regulations (ITAR/EAR), and internal quality systems.
  • Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and regulatory inspections.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop supply chain personnel across planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
  • Build organizational capability by developing strong processes, scalable systems, and future leaders within the department.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain, planning, procurement, or operations experience within aerospace, defense, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing planning, purchasing, inventory control, and/or logistics teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as Syteline, Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive actionable improvements.
  • Proven ability to develop and utilize KPIs, metrics, and reporting tools to manage performance and improve operational execution.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, FAA, and/or DoD requirements.
  • Proven supplier management and negotiation experience.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM.
  • Experience supporting complex aerospace programs or government contracts.
  • Familiarity with export compliance requirements including ITAR/EAR.
  • Experience leading ERP/MRP implementations, system improvements, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred.


For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $190,000 to $225,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 30% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company's performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
