POSITION:Director of Student Success

POSITION TERM: 12 Month

REPORTS TO: Chief Academic Officer

DATE: August 2026

Position Summary:

The Director of Student Success plays a key role in fostering a positive, achievement-oriented environment that supports student success. This role leads the efforts of family and community engagement at Agora, ensuring a strong sense of belonging, high expectations, and student accountability. This position reports to the Chief Academic Officer, but will work with other departments, including grade-level teams, the MTSS team, and various planning committees.

Essential Functions:

  • Advance Agora's school culture model to ensure a safe, inclusive, and growth-focused environment
  • Lead and develop the student success team (including Family Coaches, Truancy Prevention Officers, School Social Workers, SAP Coordinator, and Nursing team) to drive outcomes in attendance, student engagement, and family compliance with state mandates.
  • Manage the effort to support families in understanding the school's processes, expectations, available services, assessment, and graduation requirements for both general education and special education students
  • Establish and oversee systems for positive reinforcement, accountability, and student discipline, serving as the school's PBIS coordinator
  • Manage student discipline in coordination with school principals.
  • Monitor attendance and discipline data to identify disproportionality among subgroups and develop corrective action plans as necessary
  • Oversee the planning and execution of extracurricular programs, clubs, and school events that promote student engagement and leadership.
  • Strengthen parent and community relationships to enhance student support and engagement.
  • Initiate and participate in meetings with students, families, and school teams to support student success
  • Lead schoolwide efforts in student retention
  • Serve as Agora's School Safety lead, including ensuring compliance with state guidelines and maintenance of the school's Safe2Say Something team
  • Serve on IEP teams as the LEA representative
  • Coordinate the process for ensuring the implementation and compliance of Section 504 plans
  • Lead and participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) meetings and student intervention teams
  • Ability to travel as needed, including on site meetings at the main office once per month, state testing and professional development events.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Experience with organizing, analyzing, and presenting data to inform actions
  • Communications proficiency with excellent writing and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with meeting deadlines and due dates
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in a professional virtual environment with travel required as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
