Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the infection prevention and control program.
  • Conduct rounds on nursing units to assess compliance with protocols.
  • Review and analyze environmental sanitation procedures.
  • Evaluate infectious disease lab reports and discuss findings with the Director of Nursing.
  • Prepare and submit summaries of resident and staff infections and corrective actions taken.
  • Educate staff and families on infection prevention measures and hand hygiene.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control practices throughout the facility.

Are you looking for your new career? We are now hiring a Director of Staff and Development/ Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) to be the newest member of our awesome team!

Salary Range: $$79,040-$89,440 per year.

As an Director of Staff and Development/Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) , you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance. You will make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures and analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing. You will prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission. You'll meet with staff, residents and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.

Must have:
  • Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice to have:
  • Infection control experience
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
  • Experience with PointClickCare
