Responsibilities

  • Assist with resolving guest billing concerns in conjunction with accounting.
  • Attend leadership meetings to contribute to operational strategy.

JOB LOCATION: Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Resort

REPORTS TO: CEO

DEPARTMENT: Spa

FLSA STATUS: This is a full-time, salary; exempt position

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD

POSITION SUMMARY

The Spa Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the resort's luxury spa and wellness facilities, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that reflects AAA Four-Diamond service standards. This position is responsible for maximizing financial performance, developing innovative wellness programming, leading a high-performing team, and maintaining the spa as a premier destination for relaxation, healing, and personalized service. The Spa Director works collaboratively with resort leadership to integrate spa offerings with hotel, golf, food and beverage, and group sales initiatives.

Assist qualified Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal members in employment opportunities with the Pueblo of Pojoaque Businesses by hiring, coaching, and supporting their career growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct a daily walkthrough of the spa and club operation to ensure cleanliness,
  • maintenance, and conservation of facility and maintenance of equipment
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
  • To actively create new revenue generation services and to drive bottom-line profitability through effective cost control and appropriate _______________
  • Work with managers/supervisor's to create tailored revenue and guest service goals.
  • Assist accounting with resolution of guest billing concerns.
  • Oversee entire Spa staff.
  • Maintain effective relations with all resort departments
  • Work with departments such as group sales, reservations, and retail to increase resort sales
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.
  • Attend staff and other leadership meetings.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
  • Proven experience managing AAA four-diamond or equivalent spa operations and achieving revenue goals.
  • Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness programming, retail operations, and guest service excellence.
  • Experience with spa management software, property management systems, Microsoft Office, and financial reporting tools.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Professional spa or wellness certifications are a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.


REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Spa Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive spa leadership experience in a luxury resort or destination spa.
  • Detailed experience/knowledge of the Spa/Hospitality market preferred.
  • Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Travel required


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the spa for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and presence in a luxury resort environment.
  • On 24 - hour emergency call.
