Director of Service Operations - South Division.
This leadership role will oversee Operations Managers within Pengate's South Division and provide strategic direction for service operations throughout the territory. The Director of Service Operations will focus on strengthening operational performance, developing our leaders, growing our service organization, and ensuring we continue to provide best-in-class service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop Operations Managers throughout the South Division.
- Maintain a safety-first culture and ensure teams remain current on required EHS training and expectations.
- Monitor service performance, productivity, financial results, and department metrics, working with Operations Managers to make adjustments as needed.
- Analyze P&L performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, minimize risk, and strengthen overall operations.
- Provide strategic direction to Operations Managers and establish best practices across service operations.
- Support workforce planning and determine labor needs based on business and customer demand.
- Lead and support customer service contract negotiations.
- Manage service budget planning and ensure operational goals and service requirements are achieved.
- Promote an RLM mindset by challenging the status quo and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to support customer growth and business objectives.
- Support the continued growth of both our customer base and field service workforce.
- Develop and maintain service-related operating procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Lead performance management, development planning, and accountability within the service leadership team.
What We're Looking For- Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
- Strong understanding of field service operations and service management.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams while driving accountability and results.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including experience reviewing operational metrics and P&L performance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/business systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of service-based operations.
- Material handling and lift truck industry experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
- Ability to travel throughout the South Division as needed.
