General Statement of Duties
The Director of School Facilities leads, directs, and manages the operation, maintenance, repair, cleaning, safety, and long-term stewardship of all Greenwich Public School buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and related facilities systems. The position oversees custodial, maintenance, capital project, emergency response, regulatory compliance, energy management, and facilities planning functions to ensure safe, efficient, sustainable, and educationally appropriate learning environments.
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture or a closely related field; 8 years of progressively responsible facilities administration experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise and leadership experience in school facilities management, maintenance operations, custodial services, infrastructure planning, and building systems administration.

Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing short and long term operational plans and programs.

Proven expertise in financial oversight of building, district and capital budgets.

Demonstrated ability to complete assignments and make decisions within deadlines.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with colleagues, faculty, contractors, vendors, and the community.

Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications with specific experience in group presentations.

Proven expertise utilizing standard office and industry-specific software.

Valid driver's license.

Salary Range: M/C-9: $160,883 - $209,148 **The anticipated starting salary is the midpoint of the salary range

Reports To: Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Board of Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

Directs and manages all custodial, maintenance, facilities operations, and related support personnel.
Initiates and maintains an effective preventive maintenance program that assures safety and regulatory compliance. Provides prompt resolution of facility deficiencies.
Prepares and manages annual operating and capital budgets for the department. Assists in the presentation of budget requests and oversees all expenditures.
Manages custodial, maintenance and capital projects in compliance with the facilities standards established by the Board of Education.
Oversees the execution of special projects which require specialized technical knowledge to insure construction planning in accordance with Town requirements.
Prepares building specifications, scopes of work, requests for proposals/bids/information, and contract documents.
Supervises the work of external contractors.
Develops and monitors an operational plan for off hour and weekend emergency response.
Participates in the Town employee safety committee.
Leads the use of modern facilities technologies, including work-order management systems, building automation systems, asset inventories, preventive maintenance platforms, and data reporting tools to improve service delivery, accountability, planning, and operational efficiency.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supports Town and Board of Education policies and philosophies.
