The Opportunity

The Regional Sales Director - North America is responsible for leading Det-Tronics' commercial strategy and execution across the United States, Canada, and Alaska.

This executive leadership role owns regional business performance including orders, revenue, profitability, pricing, market share, and strategic growth-while leading a high-performing sales organization focused on delivering exceptional customer value.

You'll lead Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and strategic channel partners while partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership to execute the Det-Tronics strategic plan, accelerate portfolio growth, and strengthen our position as the industry leader in industrial life safety solutions.

What You'll Do

Lead Regional Strategy & Business Growth

  • Champion the Det-Tronics Growth with Customer Focus strategy across North America.
  • Align commercial priorities, investments, and resources with enterprise growth objectives.
  • Build a customer-centric culture that delivers long-term partnerships, exceptional customer experiences, and sustainable profitable growth.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen market leadership, increase customer loyalty, and expand the installed base.

  • Develop and execute the North America commercial strategy aligned with the Det-Tronics strategic plan.
  • Own the Annual Operating Plan, delivering profitable growth through revenue, orders, margin, and market share expansion.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear regional priorities, measurable objectives, and execution plans.
  • Drive disciplined commercial execution through KPIs, forecasting, pipeline management, and business reviews.

Build a World-Class Sales Organization
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and channel partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional commercial talent while building a strong succession pipeline.

Own Pricing & Commercial Excellence
  • Develop and execute regional pricing strategies that maximize profitable growth.
  • Maintain pricing discipline, discount governance, and commercial consistency across the region.
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy, CRM excellence, and data-driven decision-making that delivers predictable business performance.

Accelerate Portfolio & Market Expansion
  • Increase adoption of the complete Det-Tronics portfolio, associated brands, and new product introductions.
  • Identify new markets, emerging customer applications, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Management and Marketing to successfully launch new products and strengthen market positioning.

Strengthen Channel Performance
  • Optimize distributor, representative, OEM, system integrator, and EPC partnerships.
  • Expand market coverage while improving partner capability, accountability, and customer engagement.
  • Develop effective go-to-market strategies that increase customer reach and regional growth.

Execute the Det-Tronics Strategy
  • Champion execution of enterprise strategic initiatives across North America.
  • Lead commercial transformation, organizational change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure regional priorities, investments, and resources support long-term enterprise growth and customer success.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial, technical, or engineered solutions
  • Proven success leading multi-state or regional sales organizations
  • Demonstrated experience driving profitable growth, pricing strategy, forecasting, and commercial execution
  • Experience managing distributors, OEMs, EPCs, engineering firms, and strategic channel partners
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing revenue, margins, and business performance
  • Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries: Industrial Safety, Fire & Gas Detection, Industrial Manufacturing or other related industries.

*Compensation includes base salary and 40% plus accelerators. Must be located in close proximity to a major international airport.
