This position is designed and intended to be performed on-site in Muscatine, IA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and develop Safety Coordinators and site safety programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, and influencing outcomes across teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and lead a world-class, zero-harm safety strategy across multiple operational sites
Drive a proactive safety culture that builds engagement, ownership, and accountability at all levels
Standardize and deliver impactful safety training and awareness programs across facilities
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and strengthen controls
Ensure full safety compliance with OSHA and all federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with operations to proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards and risks
Lead safety incident investigations (accidents, near-misses) and implement corrective actions
Oversee safety programs including emergency response, workers' compensation, return-to-work, and safety leadership development initiatives
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field
10+ years of experience in safety management, with a strong track record of leading safety programs for multiple operational sites
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build positive safety cultures and promoting employee engagement and accountability.
