Full Job Description
Who You Are

You're a revenue cycle leader who thinks in KPIs, denial trends, and net collection ratios, but you never lose sight of the fact that every claim represents a real person on their worst day. You could be:
  • An EMS/ambulance billing veteran who knows ALS/BLS levels, PCR documentation, and CMS ambulance reimbursement like the back of your hand, or
  • A hospital, physician group, or allied-health revenue cycle leader with some EMS exposure somewhere in your story. Maybe you billed for an ambulance client, worked alongside an EMS service line, or started your career in the field before moving into the business side of healthcare.

Either way, you're a strategic thinker, a confident negotiator, and a leader who can rally a large team around a shared standard of excellence, while keeping compliance airtight and cash flowing.
What You'll Do
  • Set the financial strategy and pricing structure that keeps EHP thriving
  • Lead process improvements across intake, coding, claims, and payment posting
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of 35+ (Billing Supervisors, Revenue Analyst, and staff)
  • Serve as the final word on HIPAA, OIG, and CMS compliance
  • Manage vendor and payer relationships and champion new technology/automation
  • Be a trusted partner to Operations, HR, Legal, and IT
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Hybrid flexibility: we trust you to do great work, while most days are in office, you'll have flexibility to schedule consistent work off site days.
  • Real visibility: you'll report directly to the CFO and have a genuine seat at the leadership table
  • A mission that matters: your work directly funds ambulances, equipment, and the crews saving lives across southern Michigan
  • Great benefits: comprehensive health coverage, retirement plan support, and the stability of a well-established nonprofit
  • Room to build: this is a role where your ideas and strategy will visibly shape the organization's future, not just maintain the status quo
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business
  • 5-7+ years of revenue cycle leadership experience, ideally in an EMS setting
  • A track record of leading large teams (30+) and driving measurable revenue improvements
