Position Summary
The Director of Public Relations & Marketing isresponsible for leading the public relations, communications, communityengagement, and marketing efforts of Health Care Partners of South Carolina.This position promotes organizational visibility, strengthens communityrelationships, and supports strategic initiatives that advance the mission ofthe organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develops and implements public relations,communications, community engagement, and marketing strategies that supportorganizational goals and priorities.
• Serves as the primary organizational contact formedia relations, public information requests, and external communications.
• Develops and maintains relationships withcommunity leaders, healthcare organizations, governmental agencies, educationalinstitutions, foundations, advocacy groups, and strategic partners.
• Represents Health Care Partners of SouthCarolina at community meetings, public events, conferences, stakeholderengagement activities, and industry functions.
• Leads public relations initiatives thatstrengthen organizational awareness, reputation, and community engagementthroughout the communities served.
• Oversees community outreach programs, healthfairs, special events, sponsorship opportunities, and public engagementinitiatives.
• Oversees organizational branding and ensuresconsistency of messaging across internal and external communications.
• Provides leadership and oversight for publicrelations, marketing, outreach, and community engagement personnel andactivities.
• Develops departmental goals, objectives,budgets, and performance measures and provides regular reports to executiveleadership.
• Monitors community health needs, outreachopportunities, and strategic partnerships that support organizational growth,community impact, and access to care.
• Participates in executive leadership meetings,strategic planning initiatives, and organizational committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations,Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, HealthcareAdministration, Public Health, or a related field required.
• Master's degree in Public Administration, PublicHealth, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Business Administration, ora related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressivelyresponsible experience in public relations, communications, communityengagement, outreach, marketing, healthcare advocacy, or a related fieldrequired.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory orleadership experience preferred.
• Experience within healthcare, community healthcenters, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), nonprofit organizations,or public health organizations strongly preferred.
• Experience managing community engagementinitiatives, public relations campaigns, media relations, stakeholderpartnerships, and outreach programs preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of public relations, strategiccommunications, community engagement, and organizational branding principles.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, andinterpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain productiverelationships with community leaders, healthcare organizations, governmentalagencies, advocacy groups, foundations, and key stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, and teamdevelopment skills.
• Ability to represent Health Care Partnersprofessionally in public settings and community engagements.
• Experience developing communication strategies,public relations campaigns, and organizational messaging.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations,community health initiatives, and healthcare outreach strategies preferred.
• Strong organizational and project managementskills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite,presentation software, communication platforms, and digital communicationtools.
• Ability to analyze data, interpret results, andprovide recommendations to leadership.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintainconfidentiality, and operate with a high degree of professionalism.
