Why we're hiring a Director of Product Marketing

Our product footprint is expanding across multiple workflows, pricing tiers, and customer segments. We need a senior leader to take ownership of product marketing end-to-end: narrative, positioning, pricing, packaging, launches, enablement, and competitive strategy.

This role will lead the PMM function and build the systems, frameworks, and standards needed as we scale. You'll partner with Product, Sales, CS, RevOps, and Marketing leadership to ensure every product, feature, and tier goes to market with clarity, rigor, and measurable impact.

What you'll do

Lead and Scale Product Marketing
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the PMM team; set strategy and operating rhythm
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, CS, RevOps, and Marketing

Shape Product Strategy and Roadmap
  • Use customer, market, and competitive signals to influence roadmap and priorities
  • Bridge external market dynamics and internal product decisions

Own Positioning and Narrative
  • Define differentiated messaging across product lines, segments, and channels
  • Tie product positioning into the broader Legal AI category narrative

Run Go-to-Market
  • Build cross-functional launch plans with repeatable frameworks and go/no-go recommendations
  • Own ICPs, value props, segment messaging, and in-product messaging strategy

Own Pricing and Packaging
  • Lead pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy across all tiers
  • Leverage research, usage data, and competitive insight to guide decisions

Sales and CS Enablement
  • Deliver talk tracks, decks, competitive briefs, and training programs
  • Partner with Sales leadership on deal strategy and positioning

Customer, Market, and Competitive Intelligence
  • Run structured customer insight and win/loss programs
  • Turn findings into actionable GTM, pricing, and deal strategy adjustments

Category Leadership
  • Lead analyst engagement, competitive positioning, and external thought leadership

Revenue-Driving Content
  • Oversee case studies, ROI stories, and full-funnel proof points with Brand and Demand Gen

Measure and Optimize
  • Define PMM metrics tied to revenue, adoption, and win rate; use data to refine strategy continuously

Build the PMM Team and Operating System
  • Define org structure, hire and coach PMMs, and establish scalable systems and processes

What you bring
  • 10+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, ideally selling to lawyers
  • Experience leading PMMs or managing a PMM function
  • Strong background in pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy
  • Proven ability to develop clear, differentiated messaging in complex markets
  • Experience in marketing technical or AI-driven products
  • Strong partnership instincts with Product, Sales, and CS
  • Excellent writing, editing, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to build structure, clarity, and process in fast-moving environments
  • Hands-on and strategic, with a bias toward action and accountability
  • High-growth, start-up experience
A Note On Pace

We're building something new in a once-in-a-generation shift in technology and the legal industry, so we move at a relentless pace. We expect urgency, ownership, and good judgment even when things aren't perfectly clear. If you need structure and consensus to do your best work, this isn't the right place for you. If you thrive in ambiguity and growth, work with intensity, and want real responsibility, keep reading. We're excited to meet you.

Location Policy

This is a remote role unless you fall within the following parameters. If you live within approximately 50 miles of our San Mateo, CA or Provo, UT office, the position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
