Responsibilities

We are currently hiring a full time Director of Performance Improvement for Fremont Hospital!

The Director of Performance Improvement develops, manages, and integrates the Quality Management/Performance Improvement program for all aspects of the hospital and outpatient services to drive and accelerate the measurable and continual progress in meeting the organization's quality objectives. The Director works as part of the leadership team and collaborates to improve services using Lean concepts and effective project management. Lean is central to this role: the Director is expected to maintain a thorough working knowledge of Lean and to lead and support its integration throughout the facility and with staff at all levels. The leader effectively utilizes UHS best practices to meet organizational goals and ensures compliance with all accreditation and regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission (TJC), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), as well as any other applicable state and federal laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program or university in a healthcare related field, organizational leadership, management or related field. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or clinical field, preferred.
Experience:
  • Two (2) years' experience in quality management, improving organizational performance within an acute psychiatric setting preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Lean methodology and demonstrated experience applying Lean concepts; Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Experience as an RN or clinical field, preferred
  • Project Management training or certification preferred
  • Experience in a clinical setting
  • A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, Cal/OSHA, and Patient Rights standards.
Licensure:

None required; however, current California RN or other relevant clinical license or ability to obtain is preferred.
