Director of People

A Brief Overview
The Director of People - Home Office will partner with the business and execute the Home Office people strategy. This results-oriented leader will partner cross functionally with business leaders, functional teams and subject matter experts to maximize business outcomes by leveraging organizational structures and talent to deliver critical business objectives. Scope of responsibility includes influencing functional leaders on organizational structures, talent decisions, engagement and retention, performance management and associate relations, and business performance improvement.

What you will do
  • Partners with the SLT leader, SVP & VPs to align on and execute the people strategy for their assigned function
  • Influences talent decisions, including organizational structures and critical hiring initiatives, to ensure the structure and people can deliver the business objectives. This leader influences without authority across functions and leadership levels.
  • Ensure teams are compliant and are completing required trainings, talent check-ins, performance reviews, performance calibrations, engagement survey action plans, award processes and other critical PLD programs and initiatives.
  • Assesses leadership development needs and partners with the Talent Management and Development team to design, develop and facilitate impactful leadership training programs.
  • Provides performance management consulting and calibrates top/bottom performers with leaders; partners and creates talent action plans to close gaps; aggressively monitors and reports progress.
  • Actively participates in the selection process and influences hiring managers to raise the talent bar and prioritize building diverse teams
  • Champions change efforts and effectively lead teams through change
  • Maintains strong associate relations and fosters an inclusive, safe, and positive people culture. Provides individual coaching to associates as needed
  • Partners to build onboarding plans for new leaders
  • Proactively minimizes legal risk to Company and complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, insurance and litigation documents, associate information (e.g., wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications
  • 10+ years Experience in Human Resources (Business Partner) supporting mid to large size businesses with matrixed operations.
