Overview:
Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Director of Operations I for Gastroenterology and Urology to oversee four practice locations in Norfolk, Newport News, and Elizabeth City. This newly created role will lead three Practice Managers and support the continued growth of Gastroenterology, Urology, and onsite endoscopy services.
The Director will oversee daily operations, staffing, patient access, scheduling, provider support, quality, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and practice performance. This leader will partner with physicians and executive leadership to identify operational gaps, develop consistent processes, and prepare the practices for future growth. Regular weekly travel between locations is required.

Experience
- Minimum five years of leadership experience required.
- Ambulatory, physician-practice, specialty-clinic, or hospital operations experience required.
- Gastroenterology, Urology, endoscopy, or multi-site practice experience preferred.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $90,001.60 - $164,091.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
