Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director Operations Hospice & Palliative Care is responsible for the leadership and operational performance of all hospice operations, including both clinical care and non-clinical services delivered to patients. The Director is responsible for achieving Operational Excellence goals, Clinical Excellence outcomes and financial targets. The Director advances Outpatient Palliative Care, assures collaboration across the continuum of One OSF and is a visible service excellence champion ensuring patients receive timely access to OSF Hospice care, as the provider of choice.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelors Experience: 5 years progressively more responsible work experience in home health or hospice 3 years leadership experience


  • Other: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software; Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in clinical area or Master's degree with focus on clinical area or healthcare administration such as MBA, MPH or MSN


Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience with state, federal and Joint Commission regulations Hospice leadership experience.


Other:

  • Successful record of project management and team leadership
  • Strong public speaking and influential skills which portray expertise and resource sharing in leading Hospice operations toward results-oriented outcomes.
