The Director of Operations is responsible for leading all production, maintenance, safety, environmental, quality, and operational activities at the Taylor, Texas facility. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. The Director of Operations serves as the primary operational liaison with customers and is accountable for achieving business objectives through strong leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • You will lead all production, maintenance, safety, environmental, quality, and operational activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, quality standards, and all regulatory requirements
  • Direct plant operations and maintenance activities to meet production, reliability, and customer commitments
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations and maintenance team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Establish operational priorities and coordinate resources across functions to support business objectives
  • Further, you will foster a culture of safety, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, succession planning, and talent development
  • Lead change initiatives that improve operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business results
  • Build partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Customer teams to achieve strategic objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding operational performance and supply reliability
  • And you will maintain effective customer communication and resolve operational concerns to support long-term relationships
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives, productivity improvements, cost reduction projects, and reliability improvements
  • Lead root cause investigations, 8D reports, after-action reviews, and corrective action plans related to operational events and supply interruptions
  • Ensure timely completion of action items resulting from audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage plant operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and support capital, maintenance, and long-range planning activities
  • Track and manage financial performance for routine operations and project execution activities


What makes you great

  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in industrial gas, bulk, onsite, or related manufacturing operations, including ten (10) years of leadership experience in plant or operations management required
  • Demonstrated experience leading operations, maintenance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
  • You have strong leadership, team development, communication, and customer relationship management skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage operational and financial performance
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, planning, organizational, and execution skills
  • Ability to lead complex projects, drive strategic initiatives, and influence results across multiple functions.

  • Willingness to travel periodically, participate in an on-call rotation, respond to operational issues as needed, and carry a company-issued mobile device for business communications
