ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. This role provides an opportunity to use both clinical expertise and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while guiding a team of dedicated professionals.
- Lead and inspire the nursing staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment
- Oversee all aspects of patient care, including medication management, assessments, documentation, and quality standards
- Manage and maintain nursing schedules, ensuring effective coverage and strong PRN depth
- Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
- Oversee the Intake Team to ensure patients have a smooth and supportive admission process
- Implement and manage infection control systems, risk management protocols, and incident reporting procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating strong nursing skills and stepping in to provide direct care when needed
- Take on leadership responsibilities as "Manager on Call" and support seamless facility operations
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency
Qualifications - Active RN license in the state of practice
- BSN required; MSN or higher preferred
- 3+ years of nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or related healthcare setting
- Strong clinical knowledge with proven ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission, infection control, and risk management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Authorization to work in the U.S. required
Position Requirements On-Call Responsibilities: This position participates in the facility's manager-on-call rotation, providing after-hours support on a scheduled basis. The on-call schedule is shared among all managers and includes one designated holiday on-call assignment per calendar year.
