Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing Responsibilities include:
  • Holding primary responsibility for the clinical operations
  • Directs, plans, and coordinates service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary personnel in rendering resident care
  • Interprets facility policies and regulations to all nursing personnel
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Evaluates nursing services rendered in order to improve quality of resident care and to better utilize staff and their abilities
  • Ensures for the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel


Requirements
  • Valid RN license in good standing with the State of Ohio
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions as necessary
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and a positive attitude
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration
