Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or equivalent education and experience.
• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in managing nursing staff is preferred.
• Familiarity with state Survey Rules & Regulations, Medicare, and Medicaid is required.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain nursing practice standards in the facility.
• Review and implement the facility's healthcare clinical policies and procedures.
• Oversee and coordinate the nursing staff to ensure proper resident care.
• Ensure the appropriate administration of medications and treatments according to care plans.
• Maintain accurate reports and records related to resident care.
• Assess resident conditions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Develop and uphold a Quality Assurance Program for the Nursing Department.
