Director of Nursing| On-site | SUD: Detox & ResBanyan Treatment Centers is honored to expand our life-changing services to Mooresville, NC, and are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to help lead our newest facility. The Director of Nursing leads with autonomy, oversees nursing operations and utilization, and partners with executive leadership to drive excellence in care and outcomes.
The North Carolina facility is a 20-bed, full-continuum operation opening with two SUD programs: Detox and Residential.

Key Responsibilities- Lead all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, Joint Commission and CARF standards
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to drive accountability and clinical excellence
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily nursing workflows
- Partner with medical and interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated patient care
- Ensure accurate documentation, assessments, and EMR compliance
- Oversee medication management processes and safety initiatives
- Lead Infection Control and quality improvement efforts
- Support regulatory readiness, audits, and accreditation activities
- Develop and implement nursing policies and staff education programs
QualificationsRequired:
- Active unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with ASN
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing leadership and management experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility for staff supervision, operational oversight, performance management, and departmental outcomes
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in behavioral, substance use or mental healthcare setting
Preferred:
- BSN or MSN
- Experience with Kipu EMR systems
Competencies- Working knowledge of nursing standards of care for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, healthcare compliance requirements, and patient confidentiality laws
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable in a regulated healthcare environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and documentation skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with clinical oversight in a fast-paced inpatient setting
