Position Summary:

The Director ofNursing Logisticsis responsibleinassuringthe delivery of quality,efficientand safe health care services. This Nursing leader will be accountable fortheday-to-day operations of the staffing office, float/per diem staff, agency nurses,scheduler,House Supervisors, Transfer CallCenterandBed Control.Director ofNursing Logisticswillbe innovative intheirapproach and meet the demands of a fast-paced,time sensitiveenvironment.Position will be proactive in meeting the needs of the organization through insight into specific needs of the patient care units with respect to census fluctuations and staffing challenges. Patient flow will also be a prime responsibility in which improvements will be made by using data to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient throughput initiatives across the organization.Positionmay also take onadditionalresponsibility as it relates to the needs of the patient care areas.

What the Director of Nursing Logistics will need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:Maintains current Georgia professional nursing license
  • Education:Batchelors Degreerequired.Masters Degree preferred.
  • Experience:A minimum of 5yearsleadership/management experience. Extensive experience working closely with physicians, families, patients and peers and the ability to gain trust and credibility. Ability to work effectively as a team member while assuming a leadership role within the organization.
