Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State license as an RN.
• 3-5 years of progressive management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with State and Federal Survey processes.
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records - PCC.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement Nursing department policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with corporate clinical team on policy development.
• Communicate and oversee compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Conduct daily resident rounds and participate in clinical evaluations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure patient rights.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary patient care management.
• Organize and staff the Nursing department effectively.
• Maximize patient self-care and social interaction opportunities.
• Monitor nursing service outcomes and resource utilization.
• Ensure adherence to employment laws and training procedures.
• Deliver training and in-service presentations to nursing staff.
• Address deficiencies found in quality reviews with corrective actions.
• Oversee investigations regarding patient and staff matters.
• Review patient incidents for legal and preventive action needs.
• Educate staff on infection control practices.
• Address complaints regarding Nursing department services.
