As a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse (RN), here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
- Provide leadership to the staff for care of the patient and family unit.
- Develop and motivate the clinical and paraprofessional teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve the quality of patient care or client services, formulate and implement an action plan and evaluate results.
- Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Understand current trends and advancements in the delivery of care in the home.
- Work with the Administrator to develop processes and execute training to successfully implement changes in patient care or client service practices.
A few must-haves for a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse (RN):
- Must hold a current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license credential.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years medical management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the last seven (7) years, required.
- Current Home Health Care experience required.
- Current Health Care CPR certification.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Card
- Working knowledge and experience of: PDGM, Medicare, Medicaid etc.
- Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid home care rules and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience with OASIS.
