Director of Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies

Monitor resident conditions and communicate significant changes to families, physicians and appropriate care providers.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care

- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional development and high performance

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes

- Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and quality

- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of patient information in accordance with legal and ethical standards

- Monitor patient satisfaction and address any issues to enhance the patient experience

- Stay current with healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain accreditation and improve service delivery

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction

- Proven supervisory experience and nursing leadership, with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical setting

Requirements

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must meet the general health requirements by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination
  • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disables, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, agitated residents.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum heith of 5 feet and be able to push, pull and /or carry such weight a minimum of 50 feet.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of of residents during emergency situations.
