Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for the overall performance of PM shops, mobile welding operations, and fleet assets consistent with divisional and company objectives
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program, including planning, scheduling, coordination, execution, and completion tracking across all locations
  • Provide direction for maintaining, repairing, refurbishing, and manufacturing operating equipment and vehicles to maximize uptime and reliability
  • Ensure effective coordination between operations, PM shops, scheduling, and inventory to maintain continuous workflow and minimize equipment downtime
  • Oversee implementation and adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements including FMCSA, DOT, FRA, and OSHA
  • Provide direction of fleet safety programs including ELD systems, driver safety initiatives, compliance audits, and performance improvement actions to maintain and improve safety metrics
  • Develop and oversee budgets for PM shops, fleet maintenance, equipment programs, and capital expenditures; monitor financial performance and drive cost control initiatives
  • Review financial and operational performance, including KPIs such as uptime, PM and refurbishment completion rates, cost performance, utilization, and safety metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure effective use of company systems (IFS, Power BI, Samsara and others) for maintenance tracking, cost management, reporting, and data-driven decision making
  • Analyze equipment performance, downtime trends, parts usage, and work order data to identify root causes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead capital planning, working with Purchasing, and vendor management for fleet, equipment, parts, and services; maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Oversee MOD inventory planning and coordination with Purchasing / Warehouse to ensure availability of spare parts, consumables, and PPE to support PM and field operations
  • Working with Sr. Directors and Directors of Operations, coordinate fleet and equipment resource allocation across the division to support operational needs and optimize utilization
  • Partner with HR to determine staffing needs, support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for PM shops and field operations support.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and field personnel to improve capabilities, accountability, and overall organizational performance
  • Participate in strategic planning and execute assigned action plans in support of divisional goals
  • Lead regular meetings and communications to ensure alignment on safety, compliance, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all required documentation, licensing, registration, and compliance reporting for fleet and equipment are completed accurately and on time
  • Travel as required to company, customer, and field locations to support operations, safety, and performance objectives
  • All other duties as assigned


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to travel extensively via ground, rail, and air
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to climb in and out of mobile welders
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, and lift

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical or business degree preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment through the use of electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and work with graphs
  • General computer knowledge
  • Detailed orientated with good organizational and paperwork skills
  • Ability to properly communicate with associated Holland personnel and customers
  • Good coaching and training skills
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
  • Maintain a current eRailsafe badge and valid Passport
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
