Full Job Description
Director of Marketing SkyFire Energy is seeking a Director of Marketing with the drive, grit and proven ability to develop and implement a marketing strategy that delivers measurable business results. This role will lead SkyFire's marketing strategy and execution, strengthening the brand, generating qualified leads and supporting revenue growth across Western Canada. The successful candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of setting direction while also driving execution and continually improving performance. This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing leader who thrives in a growth-oriented environment, takes ownership of outcomes and has a track record of building marketing programs that move the business forward. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Develop and own SkyFire's annual marketing strategy and plan, translating company growth objectives into clear marketing priorities, initiatives and resource allocation.
  • Provide marketing expertise and recommendations to senior leadership, using market insights, customer data and performance results to inform business decisions.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the marketing team, establishing clear priorities, accountability and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, design, and operations teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee key external agencies and partners, managing performance, scope, deliverables and accountability.
  • Own the marketing budget and performance framework, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and marketing investments deliver measurable business value.
Brand Strategy
  • Steward the SkyFire brand across markets, channels and customer segments, ensuring a consistent and differentiated market presence.
  • Lead brand campaigns, messaging and content strategy that strengthen awareness, credibility and preference for SkyFire while ensuring consistent application of brand standards.
Digital Marketing
  • Lead the strategy and performance of digital marketing across content, email, social media, paid advertising and the SkyFire website.
  • Improve digital visibility and customer acquisition through SEO, AEO, SEM and website optimization.
  • Use marketing and funnel data to identify opportunities, improve conversion and guide marketing decisions.
Growth & Demand Generation
  • Develop and execute integrated demand generation programs that generate qualified leads, support pipeline growth and contribute to revenue across SkyFire's markets.
  • Build campaigns aligned with sales priorities, target customer segments and business objectives across residential, commercial and industrial markets.
  • Partner with the VP, RevOps and Sales leadership to improve pipeline generation, lead quality, conversion and customer acquisition.
  • Lead customer referral strategy and programs.
  • Establish marketing KPIs and regularly report on performance, opportunities and ROI.
Events, Partnerships & Industry Presence
  • Develop and oversee SkyFire's industry conference, community event and tradeshow strategy.
  • Oversee sponsorships, marketing materials and relationships with key vendors and partners.
  • Partner with sales to establish clear objectives and measure the effectiveness and ROI of events and sponsorships.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience developing and executing marketing strategies that deliver measurable business results.
  • Experience leading marketing across multiple markets, business units and/or customer segments.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel marketing, demand generation, digital marketing and brand strategy.
  • Experience using CRM, marketing automation, analytics and modern marketing technology; HubSpot experience is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect marketing performance to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI and emerging technologies within modern marketing workflows.
Considered an Asset
  • Experience marketing within the renewable energy, cleantech, or construction industries.
  • Experience supporting B2B sales pipelines or demand generation programs.
