Job Summary

Directs Supply Chain activities and operations in each hospital, clinic, and appropriate physician practices in a desgnated market. Insures the effective movement of material and related services throughout the market and maximixes efficiencies while minimizing expense related to material handling, inventory, and support functions. Directs activities related to Linen Services, Receiving, and Courier services. Oversees system asset disposal at the warehouse. Establishes sound and reliable interaction, commuinication, and high level of customer service throughout the market. Maintains a dashboard of productivity and efficiency measurements to ensure operational control and deployment of budgeted resources. Creates, maintains and adheres to budget for related functions and works in collaboration with the Executive Director for the overall management of Supply Chain operations and Services. Maintains and tracks non salary expense reduction and other savings projects information. Develops strategy and deployment to maximize benefits and value of technologies, ie. Automated Low Unit of Measure Inventory Devices, and route software/GPS for vehicles and transportation/distribution services.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for organizing and directing the activities for distribution of supplies, linens,materials, repairs, receiving, and courier services within facilities within the market.  - 20%
  • Collaborates with other departments to identify patient/customer needs.Develop quality programs to meet those needs.  Ensures delivery of quality services for all customers. - 10%
  • Responsible for and establishes both related system and departmental policies and procedures, safety, environmental, infection control standards, and compliance with regulatory agency standards. - 5%
  • Utilizes Process Improvement methodology to analyze work flow and processes to more efficiently meet the needs of requesting departments. - 5%
  • Enhance professional growth and development through activities as professional affiliations; participates in educational programs, inservice meetings and workshops, review current literature. -5%
  • Creates and reports performance and productivity measures and activities for all areas of facility Supply Chain Operations. - 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

Job as direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Administration, Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management or related.
  • More than 10 years -Healthcare Materials Management at Director level or higher

In Lieu of the Above Requirements

5 years supervisory/management experience required.  CMRP, CPM, CPSM or related industry certification preferred and must be obtained within 2 years.

Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

  • Preferred CERT MATERIALS & RESOURCE PROF -CMRP - must be obtained within 2 years
  • South Carolina Driver's License
