Director of Infection Control & Employee HealthFalls Church, VA | Full-Time | ExemptWhat You'll Do- Lead and oversee the hospital's Infection Prevention and Employee Health programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct surveillance, analyze infection trends, and implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, state, and local regulations.
- Lead investigations of healthcare-associated infections and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate employee health services, including immunization programs, exposure follow-up, and return-to-work guidance.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and employee health practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, department managers, and quality teams to improve patient safety.
- Prepare reports, maintain required documentation, and participate in regulatory surveys and accreditation activities.
- Serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and employee health throughout the organization.
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
- Previous Infection Prevention experience in an acute care or hospital setting required.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong knowledge of CDC, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and educating multidisciplinary teams.
