Job Title: Director, Human Resources

Reports to: SVP, Human Resources

Job Summary:

The Director, Human Resources, serves as a strategic business partner responsible for leading Human Resources initiatives that support operational excellence, organizational growth, and an exceptional employee experience across a multi-state region. This role partners closely with HR leadership and operational leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that drive workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.

The Director provides both strategic leadership and operational guidance while ensuring HR programs align with the Lumexa Imaging's mission, culture, and business objectives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnership
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to operational leaders on all human capital matters
  • Translates business strategies into people strategies that improve organizational performance
  • Provides consultation on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management
  • Partners with operations leaders to anticipate workforce needs associated with growth, acquisitions, and new service lines
  • Analyzes workforce metrics and trends to support data-driven decision making
  • Leads HR activities associated with acquisitions, integrations, restructures, and organizational transformations
  • Develops change management strategies that support successful implementation of business initiatives

Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Leads employee engagement initiatives and action planning
  • Analyzes engagement survey results and recommends organizational improvements
  • Coaches leaders at all levels to strengthen leadership effectiveness
  • Promotes a positive workplace culture aligned with organizational values
  • Supports onboarding initiatives that improve employee integration and retention

Employee Relations
  • Leads complex employee relations matters, conducting thorough investigations and recommending appropriate resolutions
  • Coaches leaders on performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and effective leadership practices
  • Ensures consistent application of company policies and employment practices
  • Identifies organizational risks and develops proactive solutions

HR Operations & Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Interprets and administers HR policies and procedures.
  • Partners with Legal on employment-related matters.
  • Supports ADA, FMLA, leave administration, and accommodation processes.
  • Partners with Compensation to support market competitiveness and pay equity.
  • Assist leaders with workforce budgeting and position management.

HR Leadership
  • Leads, develops, and mentors HR Business Partners and other HR team members, as applicable.
  • Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones
  • Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, development, and performance management of employees

Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management, or Administration
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in an HR leadership role supporting multi-site operations.
  • Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, including outpatient, ambulatory, physician practice management, imaging, or hospital environments.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, mergers, and acquisitions, and change management preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM - SCP Certification preferred
