POSITION: Director of Housekeeping
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
REPORTS TO: General Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Director of Housekeeping to lead the housekeeping operations for a luxury South Beach property. This leadership position is responsible for delivering exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for excellence, proven experience managing large housekeeping teams, and the ability to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all housekeeping operations across multiple luxury properties.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop housekeeping managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently exceed luxury brand standards.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, labor productivity, and operating expenses.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships for housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Multi-property or large resort experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams of 100+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry, budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
