Position Purpose: The Director strategically leads and manages KRMC's Home Care programs, including Home Health, Hospice, and Hospice House (inpatient unit). The incumbent ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. This role drives continuous process improvement, operational excellence, and staff engagement while maintaining regulatory compliance and fiscal accountability. This is a full-time, FLSA Exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Operations: Provide 24-hour administrative and clinical oversight for Home Health, Hospice, and Hospice House operations. Plan, organize, and evaluate departmental services to ensure effective patient care and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing levels, budgets, and operational priorities within established fiscal parameters. Lead initiatives to improve care delivery, patient outcomes, and employee engagement.
  • Patient Care Quality and Satisfaction: Ensure delivery of skilled nursing and therapeutic services under physician or RN supervision. Promote staff development through orientation, in-service education, and ongoing training. Facilitate regular staff meetings to maintain open communication, provide education, and reinforce organizational goals. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely, high-quality, and compassionate care.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Improvement: Maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and accreditation standards. Develop and oversee performance improvement initiatives and department goals. Participate in organization-wide quality councils and performance improvement programs. Stay current with trends and best practices in Home Care to guide strategic direction.
  • Staff Development and Management: Recruit, hire, and retain qualified personnel to meet operational needs. Ensure accurate and current position descriptions that align with industry standards. Provide ongoing supervision, performance evaluations, and leadership support for all staff.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program, or a master's degree in a related healthcare field.
    • In lieu of degree: 5 or more years as a Director in Home Care Services.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience, including operational and financial management within a healthcare service line. In addition to Home Health experience, Hospice experience is highly preferred.
  • Licensure:
    • AZ RN License or compact state (if applicable)
    • AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • AZ Food Handlers Card
    • Valid U.S. Driver's License
    • Completion of de-escalation techniques program

Work Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, & walk 3-5 hrs daily. Demonstrate good oral/written skills. Able to manage technical business equipment and related software applications. Assist in movement of patients weighing up to 300 lbs. Able to care for patients with infectious diseases. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. May require travel between multiple campuses, locally.
