We are seeking an experienced Director of Healthcare Programs & Client Operations to provide senior-level leadership across client programs, internal operations, project execution, and strategic coordination.

Position Overview

The Director of Healthcare Programs & Client Operations will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex healthcare communication programs and client initiatives.

This position will work closely with clients, healthcare professionals, internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure programs are delivered professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with established requirements.

The successful candidate will bring strong program-management, client-service, organizational, and leadership skills and will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level oversight of healthcare programs and client projects from planning through completion.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and strategic program stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate advisory boards, professional meetings, educational programs, speaker initiatives, and related healthcare communications activities.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate responsibilities across internal departments and external partners.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Identify operational issues and develop practical solutions to keep programs on track.
  • Review program documentation, presentations, reports, correspondence, and other client-facing materials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, vendors, and program participants.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations and provide regular project updates.
  • Assist with forecasting, resource planning, budgeting, and program performance reporting.
  • Establish and improve processes that increase efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Monitor project risks and escalate significant issues when appropriate.
  • Support business-development initiatives, proposals, client presentations, and new program opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure confidential client information is handled appropriately.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare programs, healthcare communications, pharmaceutical services, meeting planning, project management, client services, consulting, operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects or programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working directly with clients, executives, healthcare professionals, vendors, or other external partners.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively across remote teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional client service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, communications, life sciences, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare communications, medical education, or professional meeting services.
  • Experience managing advisory boards, investigator meetings, speaker programs, educational programs, or similar healthcare initiatives.
  • Experience with project-management, CRM, or client-management platforms.

A combination of relevant professional experience, leadership experience, and industry knowledge may be considered in lieu of specific educational requirements.

Compensation

$120,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Monday–Friday schedule.
  • Regular collaboration with clients and internal teams through virtual communication platforms.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or professional programs.
