Description

Serve as the Growth Director / Director of Business Development, responsible for leading federal business development strategy, opportunity identification, capture support, and pipeline growth across Federal Civilian, Department of War (DoW), and Intelligence Community (IC) sectors.

Responsibilities include:

Accountable for advancing Pueo's business growth strategy by identifying qualified opportunities, shaping customer engagement, supporting teaming decisions, and strengthening capture readiness across target sectors while balancing strategic growth leadership with hands-on capture, customer engagement, and proposal support.

? Develop a strong understanding of company capabilities and customer requirements to align services with customer needs, procurement processes, and mission objectives.

? Develop short- and long-range business development plans for full-and-open opportunities, expansion into Federal Civilian, Department of War (DoW), and Intelligence Community (IC) sectors, and growth of the existing business pipeline.

? Establish and maintain effective liaison and interface relationships across the customer community, including Government agencies, industry prime contractors, subcontractors, and teaming partners.

? Maintain a disciplined, data-informed pipeline that supports leadership visibility into opportunity status, pursuit priorities, bid decisions, and growth forecasts.

? Develop, lead, and maintain relationships with government customers, industry partners, prime contractors, teaming partners, C-level executives, business unit leaders, and technical subject matter experts.

? Regularly and proactively engage with executives, customers, and industry stakeholders to identify, initiate, and nurture new and ongoing business opportunities.

? Participate in Government and Industry associations, conferences, industry days, and Government briefings to strengthen market presence, relationships, and business intelligence gathering.

? Oversee and coordinate the use of market intelligence and pipeline tools, to evaluate business opportunities utilizing established go/no-go criteria.

? Oversee and coordinate all resources required to prepare RFIs, proposals, and oral presentations, including technical representatives and subject matter experts, where appropriate.

? Provide leadership and oversight to the Proposal Manager and Solutions Architect to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality proposal development for active and targeted pursuits.

? Oversee and coordinate opportunity timelines, capture milestones, color team reviews, milestone briefings, and technical reviews for active and targeted pursuits.

Other:

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Service Officer to support organizational growth objectives and corporate priorities, including proposal writing and related capture support as needed.

Knowledge:

? Excellent understanding of government procurement processes, Federal contracts, regulations, and procedures.

? Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape within the Federal services market.

? Understanding of Federal contract vehicles and procurement mechanisms, including BPA, FSS, GWAC, IDIQ, and related contract structures.

? Expertise in Federal client market intelligence and business development data sources such as, GovWin, SAM, USA Spending, and FPDS.

? Command of Shipley and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) methodologies and practices.

Skills:

? Proven ability to identify, initiate, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the Federal marketplace.

? Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated success engaging executives, customers, industry partners, and technical stakeholders.

? Experience supporting pricing development and competitive business strategies.

? Effective proposal coordination, capture support, and cross-functional team leadership capabilities.

? Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and executive interaction capabilities.

Abilities:

? Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans across Federal Civilian, Department of War (DoW), and Intelligence Community (IC) sectors.

? Ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced federal contracting environment.

? Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to support RFIs, proposals, orals, and business capture activities.

? Ability to assess business opportunities objectively and guide disciplined go/no-go decisions.

Certifications:

Shipley and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) training preferred.

Education:

? Minimum 5 years of experience working within a small business federal contractor environment.

? Experience supporting Federal Civilian, Department of War (DoW), and Intelligence Community (IC) sectors.

? Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining business relationships with C-Level executives, business unit leaders, and technical subject matter experts.

? Experience supporting growth in cybersecurity, IT services, mission support, or related federal professional services environments preferred.

? Experience leading capture activities, opportunity qualification, solution shaping, and proposal readiness for federal pursuits.

? Demonstrated ability to grow a qualified pipeline, support revenue or bookings objectives, and drive disciplined bid/no-bid recommendations.

? Demonstrated track record of identifying, initiating, and growing new and existing business opportunities within the Federal market.

? Experience with pricing development.
