The Cameron School of Business (CSB) at the University of St. Thomas seeks a collaborative, student-centered, and strategic professional to serve as Director of Graduate Admissions and Student Operations. This position provides leadership and coordination for graduate admissions, recruitment, student services, and operational processes across all CSB graduate programs.
The Director serves as a central point of contact for prospective and admitted graduate students and works closely with department chairs, faculty, enrollment management, marketing, and other campus partners to support graduate enrollment, student success, and program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Graduate Admissions and Recruitment
- Coordinate graduate admissions and recruiting activities across all CSB graduate programs.
- Serve as a central point of contact for prospective and admitted graduate students.
- Develop and refine communication workflows and prospect engagement strategies to strengthen graduate admissions yield.
- Collaborate with enrollment management, marketing, faculty, and department chairs to coordinate recruitment and enrollment initiatives.
- Promote graduate certificate programs as professional development opportunities and potential pathways into CSB degree programs.
- Monitor admissions and enrollment activity and identify opportunities to improve recruitment and yield.
Graduate Student Operations and Success
- Manage student-facing operational processes that support graduate student progression and success.
- Coordinate scheduling and support accurate, timely maintenance of catalogs and student information systems (SIS).
- Provide advising and degree-planning support in collaboration with faculty and department leadership.
- Develop shared systems, templates, calendars, and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency across graduate programs.
- Ensure students, faculty, and campus partners receive clear and timely information and support.
Data, Reporting, and Accreditation
- Prepare reports and analyses on graduate enrollment, admissions, retention, and related trends for the Dean and department chairs.
- Maintain accurate graduate program information and data needed for institutional reporting.
- Provide information and documentation supporting CSB's graduate program reporting requirements for AACSB accreditation.
- Use enrollment and student data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and support continuous improvement.
Curriculum and Program Coordination
- Support curriculum review and related planning for CSB graduate programs.
- Coordinate with department chairs and faculty on graduate program curriculum initiatives.
- Help ensure that program information, academic requirements, and student-facing materials remain accurate and aligned.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Teamwork is central to the way CSB operates. The Director will partner closely with the Director of Undergraduate Student Success and Operations to develop and maintain shared systems, including coordinated calendars, common templates, and unified documentation.
The successful candidate will contribute to a cohesive student services operation in which CSB presents a consistent, coordinated experience to students, faculty, and campus partners. Success in this role requires open communication, strong follow-through, initiative, and a genuine commitment to supporting colleagues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in higher education administration, graduate admissions, student services, enrollment management, academic operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, and deadlines in a complex academic environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, students, and campus partners.
- Experience working with student information systems, databases, or other higher education technology.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered service and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience supporting graduate admissions, recruitment, or graduate student services.
- Experience with enrollment reporting, retention analysis, or accreditation processes.
- Familiarity with graduate curriculum, degree planning, and academic program operations.
- Experience developing communication workflows, recruitment strategies, or student engagement initiatives.
- Knowledge of AACSB accreditation processes and business school operations.
Work Environment and Schedule
This is a student-facing position that follows the University's standard working hours requirements. Regular availability and presence during established office hours are essential to providing reliable support to students, faculty, and campus partners.
Employees receive vacation time for rest, recuperation, and personal matters. Because of the nature and scope of this position, vacation scheduling should be coordinated to minimize conflicts with important meetings, events, scheduled office activities, and critical operational deadlines.
