Position OverviewFort St. John Co-op is hiring a Director of Finance to lead the financial function for our organization. This leadership roleis responsible forstrategy-aligned financial stewardship, oversight of the Finance Team (Accounting, Payroll, and Administration), and ensuringaccurate,timely, and compliant financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee Payroll and Administration functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and present financial reporting packages for the GM, Board, and Committees.
- Maintain internal controls, risk management processes, and audit readiness.
- Leadscapital planning andfinancialperformance analysis.
- Ensureaccuratetax, regulatory, and compliance submissions.
- Responsible forleading the Finance team, including inrecruitment, development&performance management.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to align financial strategies with business performance goals.

Qualifications:- CPA designation preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- 7+ years progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial leadership.
- 5+yearsexperiencemanaging multi-function finance teams (accounting, payroll, administration).
- Ability to work on-site andmaintainconfidentiality, accuracy, and cooperation across teams.
- Strongproficiencyin financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting tools.
- Candidatespossessingprior experience in JD Edwards would be considered an asset.
