Position Overview:
CFT Recycling is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and performance. Reporting to the CEO, this senior leadership role will drive financial decision-making, support business growth, and oversee the organization's overall financial health.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and accounting team, the Director of Finance will provide strategic leadership while serving as a backup for key financial functions when required. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong financial expertise, business acumen, and a proven ability to support organizational growth.
This role offers a salary range of $120,000-$160,000, based on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
- Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making and business growth.
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, internal controls, and risk management practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while supporting succession planning.
- Partner with the Financial Controller to ensure continuity of financial operations and provide backup support when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, recycling, transportation, or related industries is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
